Beatport
Download store for DJs specializing in electronic music, with genre-level charts and Hype charts for emerging labels; chart placements are widely used as release-week benchmarks within the scene.
- Best for
- The electronic scene's reputation system: charts, genre pages, Hype. Electronic producers, DJs and dance labels seeking genre credibility, DJ adoption, download sales and club-scene visibility.
- Skip if
- Your music isn't DJ-facing electronic. Your music is not intended for DJs or club play, or you need mainstream consumer reach more than specialist industry support.
- First move
- Ensure your distributor delivers to Beatport with correct genre tags. Confirm that your distributor delivers to Beatport, claim your Greenroom profile, correct the genre and metadata, then coordinate DJ promotion and feature pitching with your label or distributor.
- Watch out
- Charting takes coordinated release pushes, not passive uploads. Artists cannot upload releases or submit editorial pitches directly. Genre placement matters heavily, chart competition is intense, royalties arrive through your label or distributor, and fully AI-generated tracks are prohibited.
- Reach

- When
- Worth it once you have releases out.
