Terms of Service

Last updated: October 21, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Inkt. We’ve kept them as plain as we can. By using our site, the Production Map, or the Inkt app, you agree to them.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Inkt website, the Production Map, the Inkt app, and related services (the “Service”) provided by Inkt LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, 1615 House Ave, Cheyenne, WY 82001, USA (“Inkt,” “we,” “us”). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you agree to these Terms for that organization. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. Access to the app may be limited or invitation-only while we’re in early access. You’re responsible for the information you give us, for activity under your account, and for keeping your sign-in details secure. Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account.

3. Echoes

Instructors can use Inkt to build an “echo”: an AI assistant trained on their own teaching material, which answers questions from the students they make it available to. If you build an echo, you decide what material it uses, how it should behave, and who can use it. You’re responsible for reviewing it before you make it available to students.

If you use someone else’s echo, it answers on the basis of that instructor’s material. It is not the instructor personally, and the instructor isn’t reviewing each answer as it’s given.

4. AI-generated answers

Echo answers are generated automatically and can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Don’t rely on them as professional advice (for example legal, financial, or medical advice). Check anything important before acting on it. Inkt doesn’t guarantee the accuracy of any AI-generated output.

5. Your work stays yours

You keep all rights to the material you upload, the messages you send, and the echoes you build (“Your Content”). You grant us only the limited permission we need to host, store, process, and display Your Content to provide the Service to you and to the people you share it with. That includes sending it to the AI and infrastructure providers listed in our Privacy Policy. We don’t sell Your Content, and we don’t use it to train AI models.

You’re responsible for having the rights to everything you add, including any material by other people that you use to train an echo.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, including copyright;
  • upload content you don’t have the rights to use;
  • harass, threaten, or spam other people, including through messages or invitations;
  • invite people who haven’t agreed to hear from you;
  • use an echo to impersonate someone or to mislead people about who they’re talking to;
  • attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
  • use the Service to build a competing product, or to mislead or harm others.

7. Plans and payments

Some parts of the Service are free, and some require a paid plan. Prices and what each plan includes are shown before you buy. Payments are processed by Stripe. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Taxes may be added where required. We’ll give you clear notice before any price change applies to you.

Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable. Nothing here limits any right you have under consumer law to cancel or get a refund.

8. The Production Map

The Production Map is a free guide to resources for musicians. Each entry is researched and reviewed by people who work in music, but it reflects our independent opinion at the time of review. Prices, features, and terms change, so check details with the provider before you sign up or pay. Entries are for general information, not professional advice.

Resources on the map are run by third parties. Inkt isn’t responsible for their websites, products, or services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms. Inkt doesn’t accept payment for placement on the map or for its verdicts. If we ever earn from a link, we’ll say so on that entry.

If you spot something wrong, or you run a resource and want it reviewed, email editorial@inkt.ai. Submitting a resource doesn’t guarantee it will be listed, or how it will be described.

9. Third-party services

Some features connect to other services, such as signing in with Google or importing files from Google Drive. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and you can disconnect them at any time.

10. Intellectual property

The Service itself, including our software, design, brand, and the Production Map’s text and data, belongs to Inkt and is protected by law. These Terms don’t give you any rights to our marks or technology except the right to use the Service as intended. You may share links to the Production Map and quote short excerpts with credit, but you may not copy or republish it in bulk.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, especially while the app is in early access.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Inkt will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or, if you paid nothing, to one hundred US dollars. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

14. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the app’s settings. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. If we end the Service, we’ll give you a reasonable chance to export Your Content where practical.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We’ll post the new version here and update the date above. If a change is material, we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your home country still apply.
