Horus Music

UK distributor with unusually wide global DSP reach including Asian and African stores most distributors skip. Its standard distribution plan lets artists retain their rights and 100% of the royalties Horus receives from platforms.

Best for
Artists targeting non-Western markets. Budget-conscious independent artists and small labels that release frequently, want broad international distribution and need label-management features such as artist subprofiles, team permissions and automated royalty splits.
Skip if
You only care about Spotify and Apple. You need free distribution, consistently fast royalty access or a distributor with strong recent user confidence around payments.

Watch out
Do not confuse the £20 Unlimited Distribution plan with the selective Artist and Label Services deal. The standard plan pays 100% of received royalties, while Artist and Label Services uses an 80/20 split, begins with a two-year term and automatically renews annually unless timely notice is given. Stores may take three months to report, after which Horus states that eligible royalties are paid within 60 days. Non-UK users have a £10 payout threshold. Recent complaints report delayed payments, unexpectedly low reported royalties, account suspensions and difficulty receiving useful support or removing catalogs.
