Toontrack
Toontrack creates virtual drums, keys, bass tools and songwriting software. Its products combine sampled instruments with searchable MIDI grooves and arrangement-oriented workflows.
- Best for
- Songwriters and producers who need realistic rhythm sections and fast arrangement tools without recording live musicians.
- Skip if
- You want inexpensive all-inclusive instruments, synth-heavy production or do not want to invest in expansions.
- First move
- Start with the product closest to your biggest arrangement gap and use only its factory library before buying expansions.
- Watch out
- The ecosystem becomes expensive as expansions accumulate. Storage needs, product generations and compatibility should be checked before purchasing older libraries.
